Tom Pirtle is a nationally recognized trial lawyer who has won a number of groundbreaking verdicts in cases involving defective medical devices and pharmaceutical products. His practice covers a number of fields including: civil litigation, products liability, complex litigation, mass torts, and commercial litigation.

Tom received a Bachelor of Science degree from Stephen F. Austin University in 1987 and graduated from South Texas College of Law in 1990.

From 1990-2006 Tom was a senior litigator with the law firm of O'Quinn, Laminack & Pirtle. During his tenure at the O'Quinn firm he worked in the firm's mass tort division which encompassed a number of medical device and pharmaceutical dockets. During this time Tom became recognized leader in establishing corporate liability in complex cases including silicone breast implant litigation and diet drug litigation.

Tom has served as trial counsel in a number of ground-breaking cases including some of the first jury verdicts awarding damages to women injured by silicone breast implants and a record setting verdict awarded to the family of a woman who died as a result of her ingestion of the "fen-phen" diet drug combination.

Tom is admitted to practice before the State Bar of Texas, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. He is member of the Houston Bar Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, The American Association for Justice, the State Bar of Texas, and the American Bar Association.
