Buffy received a Bachelor of Science degree from Lamar University in 1993 and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Houston in 1997. She went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law in 2002. While attending law school, Buffy excelled as a member of the school's nationally acclaimed moot court team, securing the best brief award and national championship at the George Washington University National Security Law Moot Court Competition. Her numerous honors include being elected to the Order of Barristers and Phi Delta Phi Honor Society, as well as receiving the Shea Lynn Maloney Advocacy Award and the T. Gerald Treece "Heart of the South Texas Advocate" Award.
From 2002 to 2006, Buffy served as an associate at the esteemed law firm of O'Quinn, Laminack & Pirtle. During her tenure, she worked in the firm's mass tort division which encompassed a number of medical device and pharmaceutical dockets. She actively participated in the trial and subsequent appeal of a groundbreaking verdict awarded to the family of a woman who tragically lost her life due to the "fen-phen" diet drug combination.
Since co-founding Laminack, Pirtle & Martines in 2006, Buffy has successfully litigated thousands of cases, consistently exhibiting exceptional leadership and an unwavering commitment to pursuing justice in every case she takes on.
