During his tenure at the renowned law firm of O'Quinn, Laminack & Pirtle from 1990 to 2006, Tom held the position of senior litigator in the firm's mass tort division, managing a diverse range of complex cases involving medical devices and pharmaceuticals. Tom established himself as a respected authority in corporate liability, particularly in high-profile litigations concerning silicone breast implant and diet drug cases.
Tom played a pivotal role in obtaining some of the first jury verdicts awarding damages to women harmed by silicone breast implants. Furthermore, he achieved a record-setting verdict on behalf of a family affected by the tragic consequences of the "fen-phen" diet drug combination.
